Preface

 

Dear Reader, It is absolutely my pleasure to present to you, in this first volume, some of the recent advances in neurosurgical research. The book will describe a number of Algerian neurosurgical advances regarding the treatment of brain tumors. It, also, contains critical reviews which provide the reader with an update on selected topics as well as case histories and reports on advances in methodology and technique. This thought-provoking approach encourages the dissemination of information from neurosurgeons and neuroscientists around the world that will be of interest to practitioners and researchers concerned with pediatric, congenital, and developmental diseases of the nervous system. Our aspiration is to provide a means to display the scientific research works of Algerian neurosurgeons in addition to presenting them to the global community of academic researchers, to share and exchange their results, and, last but not least, to push the frontiers of current knowledge.
